Visit Exmoor
Visit Exmoor was established in 2005 as a not for profit company, with the aim of being a single point of contact for tourism businesses, visitors and other tourism interests. It aims to provide a single point of contact for businesses in the Exmoor area, promoting sustainable tourism and assisting in the regeneration of the local economy.

The Visit Exmoor Logo
Visit Exmoor is working in accordance with the aims and objectives for tourism of the partner organisations as set out in the Strategic Action Plan for Sustainable Tourism in the Greater Exmoor Area (which can be found on the Exmoor National Park Authority website, under QUEST). The day-to-day running of Visit Exmoor is the responsibility of the Visit Exmoor team, seconded from the partner authorities (Exmoor National Park Authority and West Somerset District Council).
The Board of Directors: seven representing local tourism businesses and one from each of the authorities, were elected at the first Visit Exmoor annual meeting last March. The Board and staff have been working on a number of projects over the past year, including the production of the 2006 Exmoor Coast & Countryside brochure, a skills development programme for tourism businesses, a visitor satisfaction survey and a programme of annual events and festivals. They have a full programme of work planned for the coming year to help tourism contribute to a thriving local economy.
