 Stonechat

Stonechat (Saxicola torquata) is a noisy little bird of heaths and moors often perched prominently on small bushes and trees where it constantly flickers its tail. Smaller than the Whinchat, the male has a black head and white neck collar while the female lacks the Whinchat's conspicuous white f eyestripe. They feed mainly on insects and are seen all year round unlike Whinchats.
