Quincunx
Quincunx
The Quincunx is near to the Challacombe Longstone and conists of five stones, four are set exactly at north, south, east and west and the fifth is exactly in the middle. Its purpose is unknown but folklore says that an old charm against weeds recommends setting a chalked tile at each field corner and one in the middle because its a good way to diffuse the magic through all parts of the area.
