Pocket guide to Exmoor walks

A COUPLE who share a passion for walking have published a book of walks in Exmoor.

'Walk! Exmoor' is a user-friendly guide of more than 70 walks, written by David and Carol Hitt (pictured) from Withleigh in Mid Devon.
David and Carol spent 18 months researching and walking the routes, covering 750 miles and taking thousands of photos to produce the 160-page book.
Park of the Discovery walking Guide series, the book showcases Exmoor's variety of scenery with walks over open moorland, along the magnificent coastline and through wooded river alleys. Suitable for adventurous and novice walkers, the guide offers a range of routes from easier walks to more challenging hikes.

David and Carol have also included details about the walks to attract the walker's attention - be it a view, a challenging climb or some aspect of history.
The book is full of photographs showcasing the abundance of views and walks available and fits easily into the pocket.
A first for Exmoor walking guides is the inclusion of Global Positioning Waypoints for each route, offering pinpoint navigational accuracy.
Owners of handheld Sat Nav units can also download all tracks through a PC.

'Walk! Exmoor' is available from local bookshops, Discovery walking Guides www.dwgwalking.co.uk amazon, or by e-mailing David direct on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
