Everthing Exmoor...

If you have an interest in the greater Exmoor National Park area then you might like to look at www.everythingexmoor.org.uk

Everything Exmoor is a community website set up to encourage general interest and tourism in the Exmoor National Park and its surrounding area. Currently the website is getting about 450,000 visitors a year. Every aspect of the site is totally free. It consists of a number of parts:

1. The Encyclopaedia - people send in information and photos about any item related to the Exmoor area and this goes into the ever-expanding Exmoor Encyclopaedia section. There are over a 1200 pages to date - totally free to add information.

2. Business Listings - any business with a greater Exmoor connection can list themselves in the business directory - currently over 1100 businesses have added themselves - again totally free.

3. The Events Calendar - anyone is able to submit their events - anything from Ironman to a small village fete and this is displayed on the Exmoor Calendar. Anyone can link to this calendar and there is even some code to include an automatically updating calendar on your website - you guessed it totally free. As a community website it relies on people and businesses sending in information and using the site.

Any new ideas that would allow Everything Exmoor to help the greater Exmoor area further would be greatly appreciated but do bear in mind it is run with no funding and just in my spare time.
