Exmoor Moor Rover Transport

Exmoor Moor Rover 2012

Moor Rover is a flexible transport service for anyone – resident or visitor – wishing to access Exmoor for walking, cycling, bird watching, fishing, and many other leisure activities. The bus will pick up and drop off anywhere on Exmoor, and can also transport wheelchair passengers, bicycles, dogs and luggage.

The service operates all year round, 7 days a week from 8.00am to 8.00pm.  Every request will be considered and transport along the Coleridge Way will also be considered though the charges are higher.

The service is operated by ATWEST (Accessible Transport West Somerset).  To use the service passengers need to book in advance (ideally giving at least 24 hours notice) by calling 01643 709701 between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.  Arrange your pick-up time and destination drop off point with the scheduler and also if you require a return journey.  A flat rate single journey fare is charged as follows:

SINGLE Fare ...£6.00 each
CHILDREN up to 16 ...£2.00 each
GROUPS of 4 or more people...£4.00 each
BICYCLES and DOGS ...£1.00 each
LUGGAGE TRANSFER SERVICE ...£6.00

What we ask of you
Please make sure that you are in good time to be picked up for an outward journey and ideally have a mobile phone with you to let the driver know if you will be late at the pick-up point for a return journey.  The driver will normally only wait 10 minutes unless advised otherwise.
