Exmoor Tourism Association ETA

The Exmoor Tourist Association (ETA) was formed in 1982 by a group of like minded tourism operators wanting to maximise the benefits of sustainable tourism for its members, the local economy and communities. They are a non-profit organisation, using subscriptions for the promotion of members and of Greater Exmoor.

The ETA works closely with Exmoor National Park (ENPA), West Somerset Council (WSC) and North Devon Plus to promote the Greater Exmoor area. The membership includes accommodation providers, tourist attractions, food and drink establishments and retail outlets; in fact anyone who is in any way associated with tourism.

The main publicity vehicle for the ETA members is their website www.exmoor.com with over 125,000 unique visitors per year it generates a lot of enquiries. The site is the premier site for accommodation providers across Exmoor, with a very high ranking on web search engines; currently it is 45 per cent ahead of its nearest competitor. Other benefits offered by the ETA are free telephone advice lines, a quarterly newsletter and a discount card; offering discounts on anything from cheese to glasses and table linen.
