Dartford Warbler

Dartford Warbler Sylvia undata is a dark grey coloured, rare bird, restricted to limited areas of southern England and known by its distinctive musical song and tail which is held high in fight and constantly fanned and cocked when perched. Found in mature gorse on lowland heaths it occupies similar habitats to the stonechat.
