Barometer World

Edwin Banfield, a retired Bank Manager, started this remarkable collection in 1971 and is an internationally renowned collector and prolific author on the subject of barometers. Over the years he has gathered together this fascinating collection of traditional mercury and aneroid barometers, barographs and pocket barometers.

There is also a good selection of barometers available for sale, many of which make fascinating gifts. World of Barometers established 1979 the worlds largest specialist firm dealing and restoring barometers. 

Our Exhibition will be open the same time as our showroom from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays. If coming far it may be advisable to confirm, especially if you wish to ask a question of Mr Collins. (please do NOT bring items to us without first contacting us about them) There is a charge of £2.50 per adult and £1 per child (school age) for the exhibition - our showroom remains free to enter.
